Cultivating Self Care, Gratitude & Nourishment

We are halfway between the Fall equinox and the Winter solstice. The light outside is dimming, and we come together to celebrate many holidays worldwide. Whether it be Samhain, Diwali, Day of the Dead, Halloween or Thanksgiving, people have honored this time of year through the ages. Physically, it is a time to follow the sun's lead and take more sleep for ourselves, enjoy warm and grounding foods, and begin or enhance our meditation practice This will keep our own inner lights shining brightly, as we release what no longer serves us....Just as the trees release their leaves in the fall and stay strong, may we do the same, staying in sync with the environment and our true nature. As we begin the holiday season here in America, it is important to be mindful of self-care. The external factors and obligations can bring stress into the life. Take time each day to eat well, move the body, reflect, breathe and quiet the mind. Lastly, may Gratitude become a daily practice. Each day that we have food on our table, health in our body and love in our life is a day for immense gratitude. Take time each day to acknowledge 3 things you are truly grateful for...
