Purify the Body, Mind & Soul

Welcome to the month of February! Each month brings a new meaning and intention as we evolve and grow...The word February is born of the Latin word Februarius, from Latin Februare meaning to "purify" or "expiate." In ancient Rome, Februarius was the "Month of Purification" and great festivities were held to restore virtuous living. Ayurveda recommends purification during each season. Personally for me, February is an energizing month to purify and rejuvenate. The holiday season rush is in the past and the intentions for 2018 are beginning to take root. If your new year plan has not yet been cultivated, then this is the month to start! Every moment is an opportunity to begin again. February is a transitional month. Ever so slightly in the air, we can feel a twinge of the buds, and sense the excitement among the birds. Spring is not far away... Here are some easy at home ways to purify this month: 1. Slowly wean yourself from all processed sugar for a period of 7-14 days. 2. Eat a diet of kichari only for one day (all meals) every week. 3. Hot water Routine. Sip hot water from a thermos with Ayurvedic spices throughout the day for 7-14 days. 1 tsp fennel seeds, ¼ tsp coriander seeds, and ¼ tsp cumin seeds

One of the most profound ways to purify the body, mind and soul is through the practice of meditation. We have 12,000-60,000 thoughts per day! Over the course of many years, surpressed thoughts accumulate in the subconscious and will seek form in the body if we do not allow for a process of release. In 2018, may you consider adding a meditiation practice to transform your life beyond anything you thought possible. Consider joining our meditation workshop (see below) to learn an effortless way to add a daily meditation practice. We will dispel the false notions and share how you can transcend the thoughts.

"The goal of meditation is not to control your thoughts,

it's to stop letting them control you " ~ The Age of Enlightenment
